R&B singer Beyonce Knowles isn’t happy with the critics who triggered out issues relating to her gaining fat and ballooning after seeing her in a hip-enhancing Thierry Mugler gown in early March when she hit the streets of the Big Apple to film a promo video for her I Am… tour.

The weight issues have troubled the star previously also. She had piled on the pounds to portray Etta James in 2008 movie Cadillac Records and went on a strict diet to slim down for her role as Deena Jones in the big-screen adaptation of Broadway musical Dreamgirls in 2006.

But the star’s spokesperson insists Beyonce is fighting fit. Her representative tells Usmagazine.com, “This is not a weight-gain issue. Beyonce is in the best shape of her life. The exaggerated hips are a design element of a truly couture dress. Beyonce has always loved this dress.”

She did her thing as usual.

A new featurette from Beyonce Knowles-starring film “Obsessed” has just emerged. It starts with a scene previewing the first time Idris Elba’s Derek Charles and Ali Larter’s Lisa Sheridan meet in the lift, and it continues showing Lisa’s effort to flirt with Derek.

A commentary from Elba and Larter is also provided. Elba describes Derek as a man who “is not trying to start relationship with her [Lisa]. He’s just trying to be nice.” Larter meanwhile calls her “character’s point of view is about a woman who falls in love and will do anything that she can” to keep the man she loves.

Scheduled to come out in the U.S. on April 24, 2009, “Obsessed” will be following Derek Charles, a happily-married manager who finds out that his happy family is put in jeopardy when a temp worker Lisa Sheridan starts to stalk him. Aside from Beyonce Knowles, Idris Elba and Ali Larter, it also stars Scout Taylor-Compton, Bruce McGill, Christine Lahti, Ron Rogge, Jerry O’Connell and Richard Ruccolo.
