Beyonce helped husband Jay-Z celebrate turning 40 in style with a star-studded 1920s-themed party. The bash, held at Casa de Campo in the Dominican Republic, was attended by over 60 guests including Kanye West and girlfriend Amber Rose, Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs and girlfriend Kim Porter, Alex Rodriguez and Kate Hudson, Alicia Keys, Warner Music chief Lyor Cohen and designer Tory Burch, The New York Post reveals. A source said: “Diddy gave a toast and Jay-Z’s friends also put together a video saying how much they love him.” The entertainment included deck-spinning from DJ Cassidy, synchronised swimmers, fireworks and an impromptu performance of Empire State Of Mind by Jay-Z and Alicia Keys, and partying went on until 5am. The next morning hostess Beyonce held a surf-and-turf brunch for guests at the luxury villa where she and Jay-Z were staying. |

According to the Daily Star, Beyonce has announced that she will be taking some time off for a few months next year and that she wants to go incognito so she can enjoy New York City without people recognizing her everywhere. Maybe it’s just me, but as soon as I heard the rumor, it made me think back to another rumor – that she and Jay-Z have been working on making a baby. Perhaps they have conceived… Beyonce and Jay-Z primarily reside in NYC. However, with her hectic schedule touring, she hasn’t gotten to enjoy it much. Beyonce said: “I usually know what I’m going to do within a year. I have the next year planned out. But for the first time ever, after a couple of dates in February and a couple of award shows, I promised myself that that it’s time to smell the roses. I’m going to take – hopefully – a couple of months off. I’m not going to plan anything. I’ll perhaps take some art classes, I’ll visit some museums and I’ll check out some shows on Broadway.” I definitely wouldn’t put it past her and Jay-Z to do a Jennifer Lopez and deny a pregnancy all the way up til the day comes that she gives birth. Afterall, they’ve never even formally acknowledged their marriage and often go ringless. |
